About Us

Emma and Susie have over 22 years of experience in the ski industry.  Both of us started out as chalet hosts running chalets in a number of resorts across the Alps, we have also worked as resort reps, chalet managers, resort and operations managers.  This gives us a broad depth of knowledge and experience perfectly placing us to give our students all the advise they need to get on track for a successful season or career within the ski industry. 

Susie help set up the well established Natives Cookery Courses in the UK over 10 years ago, Emma joined that team in 2003 and after running course for six years in the UK we decided that the best training for learning to cook for a ski season was to do it in Alps. So in June 2006 we set up the Alpine Cookery Course, the first chalet specific cookery course to be based in Alps, we have now run four summers of successful courses and we have a full program of courses starting in July 2010.

Susie did her training at the Tante Marie School of Cookery before working for a well established outside catering company.  She then began working winter ski seasons and during the summer months her own private catering company as well as setting up and teaching the Natives Cookery Courses for a number of years.  Now living full time in Chamonix she has a wealth of experience, contacts and enthusiasm to provide that all important insight into today’s industry.
